The New Elizabeth Line

Dad investigated the partly opened Elizabeth Line whilst I was working at the museum. He travelled from Tottenham Court Road to Canary Wharf where he then took the Jubilee Line to Westminster. Whereas the Elizabeth line itself is great for wheelchair access, it is not so the case when it comes to transferring to a different line. Transferring at Canary Wharf to the Jubilee Line is not at all straightforward and requires a lengthy walk – not great if in, or pushing a wheelchair. Whereas it is hoped the Elizabeth Line itself will require less changing in the future, the transferring to other lines does not appear to have been that well thought through, especially for the disabled, which is a shame.
