‘POPPY’ The North Norfolk Wheelyboat.

I went on ‘Poppy’ with my carer Alan, and Mum. We left Blakeney at high tide. It was an amazing experience and I definitely want to do it again. We saw lots of boats and seals at Blakeney Point. We then stopped at Morston for a cup of tea. Thank you to everyone for a great accessible boat trip.

  1. Smashing pictures Tom and some great memories came flooding back with your mention of the neighbouring Norfolk villages Blakeney and Morston. Not many folks may recall these days, but a racehorse called ‘Blakeney’ won the 1969 Derby and another called ‘Morston’ followed up by winning the 1973 Derby. Sadly, I had a bet on neither!

  2. Hi Tom,

This is such a lovely write up of your trip out with us. Please do get in touch if you would like to go out again in the 2023 season, we would love to offer you the experience you had last time again.

    Best wishes
