The Mo In Sheringham.

Hi Everybody, my name is Bill and I originate from Yorkshire. Everyone seems to comment on the Yorkshire bit quite frequently! Along with Alan, I support Thomas in his day to day living. Thomas wants me to tell you about his voluntary role at The Mo Lifeboat Museum. He thinks “Its Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant”. It is not difficult to see why, as he loves meeting people and making new friends. His varied roles including greeting visitors as they enter the museum, starting the introductory video, and basically just ‘Being Tom’ by chatting away and helping in any way he can.

As well as the visitors, Thomas also enjoys his time chatting with the staff, who are mostly volunteers also. Amongst the members of staff, we have Lisa The Manager, Sue on Reception, Mark who is a fine artist, and Ken who served many years as a trawlerman. All the staff are incredible and extremely approachable and welcoming.

I hope this will encourage you to visit The Mo if you ever visit Sheringham because it is well worth a visit, and relies solely on income from the shop and entrance fees. It is maintained by the hard work of the volunteers, many of whom I haven’t mentioned, but all do a sterling job.

Plus, I am sure, Thomas would love to see you there.
