It was lovely to be invited to The London Transport Museum Christmas Party which fell inbetween the rail strikes…..just! It was great to meet so many friends, and I tried my luck on the roulette wheel and blackjack. My luck (rather than skill!) faired pretty well at blackjack, so next stop Vegas! Our last train home before the strikes started was at 2230, so it was imperative we got to Liverpool Street Station in time. With Dad’s track record of getting lost, this did not bode well, though the Elizabeth Line saved the day!. Carer Alan accompanied us, and we arrived back at Aylmerton just after 0100hrs with temperatures at minus 6!
